Preface
  • In the end getting good or less good pictures does not depend on camera or printing techniques. Nevertheless the different techniques used actually enable the styles or at least simplify them.
  • Thus, it often doesn't depend on expensive or the latest cameras. In fact, my camera and lenses are on average from the 1980s, making them approx 40 years old. My most recent bought camera was released in 2014.
  • Nevertheless the different techniques used actually enable the styles or at least simplify them.

Not Used
Cameras (digital > 24x36 mm)
  See also: Digital Medium Format

  • At the moment, I do not own a digital camera of this format. But regarding resolution and, starting from about 6x4.5, also due to the optical difference (as with analog), it is almost only a matter of time and price.
Cameras (analog 35 mm (135 Film) / Half Frame)
See also: 35 mm (135 Film) / Half Frame

  • At the moment, I do not own a half frame camera. But long term, I might look into the a half frame system.
Cameras (analog Medium Format 6x4.5 cm)
  See also: Medium Format

  • I currently see no real point in using the small medium format between 35mm (135 film) and the larger medium formats ( >= 6x6). Only with 35mm film would it make some sense. But you never know.
