The Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 521/16 is a classic, medium-format folding camera, much like the 521/2 model you previously asked about. The difference in the last part of the model number, "16," is the key to understanding the camera. While the 521/2 shoots a 6x9 cm negative, the Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 521/16 uses 120 roll film to produce a square 6x6 cm negative. This format, known as "12 exposures" on a roll of 120 film, was incredibly popular in its day and is a classic format for medium-format photography.
